Dakota Wicohan Education Program
S.T.E.P. provided this non-profit organization with 20 I-Pads for their afterschool program. This enables the students to learn the native Minnesota Dakota language, research and preserve their culture for future generations.
Their first project is a Dakota language training class for staff online using the I Pads shown below. The teachers will continue by teaching their youth the Dakota language throughout the year. Click below for more information about the Dakota Wicohan.

S.T.E.P. Dictionary Project
A jointly funded program by Spring Valley Rotary, Orange & Rockland Utilities, and S.T.E.P. has provided 3rd grade students in East Ramapo School District with 10,416 dictionaries since the inception of the program in 2010. The teachers are eager to incorporate the use of this resource with their everyday curriculum. Their information includes word definitions, relevant science, history, geography, and social studies topics for reference.
