S.T.E.P. and Spring Valley Rotary donated $3,000 for much needed school supplies to East Ramapo School District for the 2022 and 2023 school years.
S.T.E.P. started in 2005 to support the local backpack programs for students in the East Ramapo School System. Pictured below is a backpack giveaway at the West Street Childcare Learning Center in Spring Valley, NY.
We were proud to support the Suffern High School Robotics Team in 2019.
From 2014 to 2019 and 2023 to 2024, S.T.E.P. has contributed funding towards the Summit Park Elementary School's Family Math Night. The goal of this event is to foster parental involvement and support in the learning of math concepts with their children. S.T.E.P. has funded the supplies necessary for each family to reinforce the learning activities at home. Thank you to all the Family Math Night S.T.E.P. and Spring Valley Rotary volunteers!
S.T.E.P. Dictionary Project
A jointly funded program by Spring Valley Rotary, Orange & Rockland Utilities, and S.T.E.P. has provided 3rd grade students in East Ramapo School District with 10,416 dictionaries since the inception of the program in 2010. The teachers are eager to incorporate the use of this resource with their everyday curriculum. Their information includes word definitions, relevant science, history, geography, and social studies topics for reference.
