In Progress

WE CAN AND DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THIS WORLD!

S.T.E.P.'s humanitarian projects have provided: water filtration systems, pediatric wheelchairs, bicycles, brain shunts, food, computers, clothes, dental hygiene, medical, and school supplies, and funding to help build and supply orphanages. Below is our list of projects in chronological order.

October 2022. S.T.E.P. partnered with Kids Without Borders, Son Michael Pham and donated $1,000 for The Human Breast Milk Bank Project with the Da Nang Rotary Rotary Club in Vietnam.

December 2020. In the true holiday spirit, we are blessed to deliver a custom made pediatric wheelchair to 6 year old Thien Huong. As an infant she was left at the doorstep of the Mai An Orphanage with multiple disabilities diagnosed with one year to live. She has beaten the odds with the love and care of this orphanage, Sister Minh Chi and her staff. She no longer lives in a stroller due to the $1,900 wheelchair donation by STEP in memory of Larry Beckerle's mother, Denise.

November 2020, each of the 5 orphaned brothers receive bikes from our program. The middle brother gave his bike to another new student who didn't have one last year. STEP made sure that he has his own this year. Also, STEP donates Christmas gifts to these boys who needed new clothes. Looking wonderful gentlemen!!  Pictures to follow.

These are the same 5 boys in 2023 sharing the scholarship luncheon with STEP travelers. Tano is taking care of these young men as they grow and and celebrate their accomplishments.

March 2020, STEP donated $2,000 to complete a water project to 2 villages in El Salvador in partnership with the Pearl River Rotary. One village had not had running water in 20 years.

In 2019, partnering with CHIA (Children's Hope in Action) and Pacific Links (Adapt),  STEP provides a total 116 bicycles to at risk students vulnerable to human trafficking when traveling miles to school. Both programs help determine the children in need of bicycles and monitor the students' performance in school while using the bicycles. We limit pictures to protect the identity of vulnerable students.

The following is donation of 30 bicycles and 18 wheelchairs to the physically disabled in the rural Central Highlands of Vietnam by STEP and CHIA.
